Working with N. G. Bailey, EnTech have recently completed work at the recently opened digital learning, teaching and research space at MediaCityUK. EnTech were primarily concerned with providing the lighting controls, blind controls and integration into the specialist lectern controls.
The University departments are located at the heart of six national BBC departments and it is estimated that over 1,500 students will have the opportunity to work with media professionals using the very latest industry specified equipment, studios and labs.
The University departments cover four floors and consist HD TV studios, radio broadcast studios, digital media and performance labs, post production suites, a living lab research facility and meeting rooms with video conferencing.
Costing £18m the university fitout has taken three y ears to complete and will be the only building at MediaCityUK which has a space open for everyone to use: a schedule of public events will welcome over 30,000 people a year to MediaCityUK.
The building was constructed by Bovis Lend Lease and the project team included Halcrow Yolles, Hoare Lea, RPS Group and Faithful and Gould.
Teaching began at the new premises on Tuesday 4th October.
