BACnet
KNX has the ability to seamlessly integrate with a BACnet (Building automation and control) network. This high level of direct integration with a BACnet network is achievable with the use of a KNX BACnet/IP gateway server.
The gateway sits on the BACnet network and is programmed to selectively present the functions and information to the KNX network as BACnet objects.
This process via the gateway is a multidirectional process. Devices on the BACnet network can be selectively mapped and presented to the KNX network as KNX object data.
